To apply for the study permit, students are required to apply online on the Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website, show sufficient funds, present the proof of having no criminal record and submit the clinical records for showing that the students are fit enough to pursue studies overseas.

Prepare a docket of all the required documents for the student visa

Depending on the nationality of the student, they might be called for biometrics and interview at the Visa Application Centre. The biometric fee is 85 CAD. Not all countries are exempt from the biometrics requirement, so the citizens belonging to those countries are not required to visit an application centre.
